Instructions & Safety

How to Set Up Your Sauna

1. Choose a Safe Location

  • Find flat, clear ground.
  • Keep a safe distance from flammable objects.
  • Check local and state laws regarding the use of wood-fired stoves in public spaces.
  • Ensure there are no fire bans or restrictions in effect for your area.

2. Unpack & Pop Up Tent

  • Remove the tent from the bag and pop up the four sides first.
  • Enter the tent and pop up the middle section.

3. Place Sauna Stove Inside Tent

  • Ensure the stove is directly under the chimney hole and away from the tent sides.
  • Place the stove on the provided heat-resistant carpet.
  • Attach the chimney poles and insert them through the chimney hole in the roof.
  • Secure the bottom of the chimney in the stove chimney hole.

4. Light the Stove

  • Use dry untreated wood only to light the stove.
  • Do not use any propellents or flammable fuels.
  • Gradually increase the heat while monitoring.

5. Enjoy Your Sauna

6. Pack Up and Store

  • Cut off air supply to fire using the air vents.
  • Once fire is completely out - wait 30 minutes for the tent and stove to cool completely.
  • Dry the tent thoroughly before storing.

Safety Instructions

1. Placement & Setup

  • Always place the sauna tent on a flat, stable, non-combustible surface, away from flammable materials.
  • Position the stove directly under the chimney opening in the tent.
  • Keep the sauna at least six feet away from dwellings, structures, over hanging branches or other objects.
  • Check local building regulations and fire safety codes to ensure compliance.

2. Fuel & Ventilation

  • Use only wood as fuel. Burning other materials is unsafe and voids the warranty and could cause serious risk or injury.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
  • Regularly clean the chimney to prevent creosote buildup, which can cause chimney fires and void the warranty.

3. Handling & Burn Risk

  • The stove, chimney pipe, handles, and sauna rocks will become extremely hot. Allow these parts to cool before handling.
  • Use the provided safety gloves when operating or touching hot components.
  • Avoid touching the sauna or stove without protection until completely cooled.
  • We recommend always using the safety gloves when handling the stove, hot or not.

4. Supervision & Warnings

  • Keep children and pets away from the sauna.
  • Do not place combustible materials (e.g., towels, clothing) near the product while in use.
  • Never leave the sauna unattended while operating.
  • Do not use the sauna under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants.
  • Do not sleep in the sauna.

5. Maintenance & Safety

  • Contact the manufacturer for repairs or replacement parts; do not attempt to repair it yourself.
  • Do not modify the sauna in any way.
  • Dispose of ashes in a metal container with a tight lid.
  • Clean the sauna regularly to ensure safe operation.
  • Keep the sauna area free of debris, brush, or branches.

Operating Your Sauna

1. Pre-Use Checklist

  • Confirm proper assembly of the sauna and correct positioning of the stove (at least 20cm from edges of tent).
  • Ensure the area around the sauna is free of flammable materials.
  • Open ventilation flaps for airflow.
  • Verify compliance with local and state laws regarding fire safety and stove use.

2. Lighting the Heater

  • Use dry wood only. Do not use accelerants like gasoline or lighter fluid.
  • Light the fire carefully and monitor it until it burns steadily.

3. Using the Sauna

  • Allow the sauna to preheat for 10-20 minutes.
  • Enter cautiously as surfaces may be hot.
  • Pour water slowly over sauna rocks to avoid splashing or scalding steam.
  • Stay hydrated and listen to your body. Exit if you feel unwell.

4. Safety During Use

  • Do not overfire the stove; this can cause damage or fire. Keep the sauna temperature between 180-200°F (82-94°C).
  • Use the provided oven mitt when handling the stove or its components.
  • Always stay hydrated.

Emergency Situations

In Case of Fire or Malfunction:

  • Exit the sauna immediately.
  • If safe, use a fire extinguisher to control flames.
